About Us

The mission of the Willmar Community Education & Recreation Department is to generate, support, and encourage life-long learning opportunities in areas of education, personal growth and leisure activities. Willmar Community Education and Recreation programs evolve to meet the needs of area residents and surrounding communities through collaboration and non-duplication of services.

Schools and parks belong to the community. District #347 Schools and Willmar Parks are actually school/community centers, available day, evening, and weekend hours for the community to use and enjoy. Facilities include classrooms, conference rooms, kitchens, gymnasiums, fine art auditoriums, libraries, pools, park shelters, ball fields, and much more.
