Leagues Offered Through WCER
Softball
All softball leagues in Willmar are governed by ASA rules.
Men's Softball Leagues- This league is played on Monday nights at the North Swansson Complex. The league starts in the last week of April with a guarantee of 12 weeks of play. There is 3 divisions in which to participate in Blue (upper), Red (middle), and White (lower). A fall men's league will follow the summer starting the second week in August and will consist of 6 weeks of play. There is two levels to participate in during this league.
Women's Softball League - This league is played on Tuesday nights at the North Swansson Complex. There is one level of play. The league starts the last week in May and consists of 10 weeks of play.
Co-Rec Softball League- This league is played on Wednesday nights at the North Swansson Complex. In Co-Rec Softball you can never have more Men than Women on the field at any given time. The Men and Women also need to be every other in the batting order. This league starts the second week in May and runs through the month of July. There is also a fall league offered for Co-Rec which will start the second week of August which will consist of 6 weeks of play.
Church Softball League - This league is played on Thursday nights at the North Swansson Complex. There will be three divisions in which to participate in Gold (upper), Silver (middle), and Bronze (Lower). The teams may consist of any combination of gender, and may include anyone who has just completed the 7th grade. This league will have a guarantee of 10 weeks of play.
Volleyball
Women's Volleyball - This league is played on Thursday nights and features four divisions of play. They are Power 1 (Highly Competitive), Power 2 (Competitive), Warrior (Recreational 1), and Cardinal (Recreational 2). You will need 6 players to play. The league has a 10 week regular season schedule with a double elimination playoff to follow. All games are played at the City Auditorium, Middle School, and RooseveltElementary School.
Co-Rec Volleyball - This league is played on Monday nights and features three divisions of play. They are Power 1 (Highly Competitive), Power 2 (Competitive), and Semi Power (Recreational). You will need 6 players to play, and can never have more Men than Women on the floor. The league has a 10 week regular season schedule with a double elimination playoff to follow. All games are played at the Middle School, and RooseveltElementary School.
Mens Volleyball - This league is played on Tuesday nights with one division of play. The league offers a 10 week regular season schedule followed by a double elimination playoff. All games for this league are played at the City Auditorium.
Spring Co-Rec Volleyball this will be a 6 week league with 2 divisions of play. All games will be played on Monday nights at the City Auditorium. This is a perfect league for those preparing to play in the summer sand season.
Spring Women's Volleyball this will be a 6 week league with 2 divisions of play. All games will be played on Thursday nights at the City Auditorium. This is a perfect league for those preparing to play in the summer sand season.
Basketball
Men’s Basketball - This league is played on Monday and Wednesday nights. The Classic (upper) league is played on Mondays at the City Auditorium. Wednesday nights include the Gold (competitive), Silver (Recreational), and a 35 and over league. Those leagues being played at the Senior High School and City Auditorium.
Women's 3 on 3 basketball this will be a six week league with a single elimination playoff tournament. All games will be played on Tuesday nights at Roosevelt Elementary School, and be officiated.
Spring Men's Basketball this will be a 6 week league on Wednesday nights at the city auditorium. There will be one level of play, and all games will be officiated and governed by MSF basketball rules.
Businessmen's Noon Basketball sometimes we all just need a break from work. The City Auditorium will be open year around for pick up basketball games from 11:30am - 1pml; Monday through Friday (except for holidays and special events). Cost is $30 a year and that includes locker room and shower access.
4 on 4 Men's Basketball Our fall 4 on 4 league will be played at the City Auditorium for 8 weeks. Players will call their own fouls as well as keep score. Teams will report their score to the site manager at the end of the games. Games will be scheduled on the hour. The league will start on September 15 and run until Nov. 3. Cost is $40 per team. Willmar Area Adult Hockey
Is an opportunity for individuals ages 18 and older to play in an organized hockey league. The league is a NON-Checking league, where slap shots limited to below the waist. The regular season starts in early November through late February on Wednesday evenings. Playoffs are played through mid March. Games are 1 hour long between 6:30 pm and 10:00 pm. Teams are formed. Individuals are encouraged to sign up and will be placed on a team.
Cost is $100 for the season. Jerseys are provided by the league.
